Get Tangled Up In Me

My mothers first mother’s day gift came May 9th, 1993, and it wasn’t the best experience for her, but I think she’s happy in the end because she got me. After 19 years of getting to know myself I have come to several conclusions and this is what they are:

  • I make life harder than it has to be.
  • I’m obsessed with the color pink and will put it anywhere I can, on anything, anyone, and anywhere.
  • I will go through any means necessary to avoid feeling pain, whether that be physical or emotional.
  • I’ve got a not-so-mild case of OCD.
  • I’m a fan of Ativan and any other type of anti-anxiety medication.
  • I own 6 library cards.
  • I refuse to actually check out books from any of them…
  • I’m obsessed with Barnes & Nobel and could get lost in the aisles.
  • I’m left handed and can’t stand smudging my writing because of my OCD.
  • I laugh in awkward situations, including the occasional funeral or two.
  • I was voted best laugh in high school, but I will never have one of those cute little giggles.
  • When I laugh, I wheeze.
  • My biggest fear in life is dying, because even though I’m Catholic I still don’t like the unpredictability of the after-life.
  • I don’t know if I’d prefer to be buried or cremated because I’m scared of the dark and fire.
  • I found my first grey hair at the age of 15
  • One negative (or even not completely positive) comment from my mother has the potential to make me change what I’m wearing and derail me for the rest of the day.
  • I’m good at math, but I hate it. Or should I say I used to be good at math.
  • In the end, my ultimate goal is to become an adult or teen-fiction book publisher.
  • I have an addictive personality and body chemistry.
  • I’d pick drinking a glass of wine with dinner over getting blackout-drunk just about any night of the week.
  • No matter where I go, one of my closest friends always ends up being a gay guy (for which I am eternally grateful for)
  • The only text I hate more than “k” is when people refuse to text back at all
  • I’m always attracted to the men who act the cockiest, no pun intended.
  • One of my favorite comedic forms is the pun.
  • I feel like there are two completely different versions of myself that come out around different people
  • Sometimes I burst out into random song because I feel like it
  • I take advice for my future from a Ouija board on occasion
  • I’m terrified for what my future has in store for me, but want nothing more than to see it unfold or turn like the pages of the novels are read.
